Stillwater Music offers classes for students of all ages and experience levels. Classes are taught by professional, real world, working musicians with years of experience touring, directing bands, recording, performing and writing music. Our teaching philosophy is simple: PLAY MUSIC, HAVE FUN and PERFORM LIVE!

Stillwater’s community classes & workshops (see below at the end of this page) are an opportunity for youth and adults to learn and play music together in a relaxed and fun environment. We especially encourage family members to participate in these classes together.

Faculty members direct Stillwater classes as one would with a professional group: expecting professionalism, while enjoying the process. We teach and implement musical lessons that carry over into daily life: respect, developing self esteem, working together towards a common goal, and learning to follow directions by listening and interacting appropriately with faculty and fellow students.

NOTE: Occasionally the actual instructor for a class may not be the one that appears in the class listings below, due to class enrollment and instructor teaching loads. Any instructor changes are made by the end of the first week of classes in any given term/semester.

AGE GUIDELINES: Though suggested, Stillwater does not emphasize age grouping within classes; we do emphasize placing students based on musical experience and maturity.  If you would like to discuss placement of your child in our program

TUITION POLICY: Tuition includes at $50 registration deposit. In most cases this deposit is non-refundable after the first day of classes. Please refer to our Policies and Procedures for full details.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: Students who already play an instrument are encouraged to bring their instrument to class. Stillwater instructors arrange songs to fit the students and instrumentation in each class. Instruments provided for in-class rehearsals: marimba, vibraphone, electric piano keyboards, steel drums, acoustic & electric guitar, electric bass, drum kit and percussion. Students are also encouraged and offered opportunities to sing.
