Fall Adaptive Band

"Shining Stars" Adaptive Band

Fall 2017

September 12 - October 17

The Stillwater Adaptive Orchestra is a mixed-ability group music class. This is a chance for people with disabilities, and those without, to experience the joy of music and movement together. With two highly qualified instructors assisted by volunteers, students will receive instruction in a number of different instruments, including but not limited to congas, hand percussion, steel pan, piano and marimba. Instruction in individual instruments such as guitar, ukulele & wind instruments is also available, however students will need to provide their own instruments. We will also focus on music and movement with folk dancing, movement games and more.

This class is partially underwritten by a grant provided by First United Methodist Church of Durango.

Tuesdays 10:00 - 11:00am
Age range: 16 to adult
Tuition: $45
Instructors: Gabrielle Dugan, Boothe Iberg
